This collection of four country properties will sit in large grounds in the centre of Little Milton village, pictured below. Their beautiful location is reached along a private drive and mature trees lend it an established feel. The elevated position of the site allows south-facing views over the surrounding countryside.
There will be two 5-bedroom contemporary barn-style homes and two more traditionally-styled houses, one with five bedrooms and one with three.
Little Milton lies in the valley of the River Thame, between the higher ground of the Chiltern escarpment, and the Thames Valley and Oxford’s distinctive skyline. There is a popular community-run shop, cafe and Post Office in the Village Hall buildings. Raymond Blanc’s delightful Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons restaurant and hotel is set in extensive grounds just over a mile away.
The Chilterns are home to Red Kites which circle and swoop over woodlands which come alive with bluebells in spring. Criss-crossed with footpaths and bridleways, they offer many options for walking and cycling in this beautiful area, and there are many quaint, welcoming pubs to sample along the way. Nearby Thame, Watlington and Wallingford have regular markets and a good range of independent shops. The village is within the delivery area for Waitrose in Thame.
Little Milton C of E Primary School is just round the corner from St James View. The village is in the catchment of Wheatley Park School in Wheatley near Oxford. Both schools and are rated Good by Ofsted. Several independent schools around Oxfordshire run minibus services which pick up and drop off in the village, including Cokethorpe School, Abingdon School, Magdalen College School, St Helens Abingdon and Headington School.
Little Milton is very conveniently located just 3 miles from junction 7 of the M40, which connects London, Oxford and Birmingham; the Oxford Tube calls in at Lewknor on its way to and from London – a real advantage for commuters. Trains from Haddenham & Thame Parkway serve both Marylebone and Banbury in around half an hour.
