The Barns at Lower Ham Yard is a characterful collection of two substantial new, barn-style properties and three new build cottages. It sits alongside our successful recent development of ten properties at Lower Ham Yard and is designed to blend into the village environment and regenerate the farm that occupied the site.
If you would like further details about this exciting project, please register your interest and we will contact you.
Please have a look at the main Lower Ham Yard page for details of that development.
The peaceful villages of Aston Upthorpe and Aston Tirrold sit side by side on the northern edge of the North Wessex Downs, nestled under the escarpment below the Ridgeway. The villages have a great community atmosphere, with many active local societies and clubs offering a wide range of activities. The Post Office in the village hall doubles as a popular community cafe.
Lower Ham Yard is bounded by the chalk landscape of the North Wessex Downs to the south and the quiet villages of the Vale of White Horse to the north. Close by are the many gallops of the racing stables of the Ridgeway, which itself is great for cycling and walking. The charming market towns of Wallingford and Abingdon-on-Thames are only a few miles away, and the many ancient footpaths, pubs and churches of the surrounding area are waiting to be explored.
The village is in a very tranquil setting, yet within a short drive of the A34 and is an excellent location, close to many premium employers such as the Harwell Campus and Milton Park. Didcot Parkway Station, just 5 miles away, is served by regular, fast trains to Paddington, the West and the Midlands. The A34 links easily to the M4 to London and Bristol, and to the M40 to the Midlands.
